Little Guests, Big Fun
This is 100% a Family Wedding
Having two kids of our own and lots of cousins, we absolutely want this to be a family celebration! We truly encourage families to bring their children - we can't wait to celebrate with the whole crew. Just please make sure to RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
What We've Planned for the Kids
Professional Childcare We're setting up the bridal suite as a dedicated kids' space with professional childcare providers from our personal network. This gives little ones a calm place to relax or just enjoy a more kid-appropriate scene when they need a break from the festivities.
Activities & Entertainment We'll have video games, board games, art supplies, and age-appropriate activities available. Our supplies are somewhat limited, so if your child has a favorite activity or comfort item, feel free to bring it - just please label everything with your name!
What to Bring
Parents Should Pack:
Diapers, bottles, and any personal care items
Any special comfort items, snacks, or activities your child might need
Extra clothes (Colorado weather can be unpredictable!)
Any medications or special dietary items
We'll Provide:
Professional childcare supervision
Games, activities, and entertainment
Basic art supplies and books
Special lighting for identification
One pack-and-play (first come, first served)
Food & Timing
Kids' Meals Children will eat with the adults during our station-style dinner service. We'll have simple, kid-friendly options available (think butter noodles and similar favorites).
Timing The kids' space will be available throughout the celebration, giving families flexibility to use it as needed during cocktail hour, dinner, or dancing.
Ceremony Expectations
For Everyone (Kids & Adults): Our ceremony will be short and sweet, so we ask that everyone - kids included - be quiet and enjoy the moment. Our staff will be setting up for the reception during the ceremony, so we need to minimize kids exploring around the property during this time.
After the ceremony? Time to let loose and celebrate!
Safety First
Supervision Requirements Children must be supervised by parents or guardians at all times, especially near the river area. While the river is typically very low in late October and will have lighting, we ask that kids are never unsupervised, particularly at nighttime.
Professional Support Our childcare providers will be available throughout the event to help supervise the kids' space and assist families as needed.
Questions?
If you have specific questions or concerns about attending with your children, please reach out to Jackie and Teddy. We've had families already inquire about bringing their kids, and we're happy to help make this work for everyone!
We know that kids bring such joy and energy to celebrations, and we can't wait to have them be part of our special day. Thank you for bringing the whole family to celebrate with us in Colorado!
Remember: Adults are welcome to bring plus ones, but we ask that minors not bring additional guests. Let's keep the focus on family celebration!
