Frequently Asked Questions

Wedding Weekend Events

What events are happening throughout the weekend?
We have several celebrations planned! Check out our Events page for the full timeline and details about the welcome reception, rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and farewell breakfast.

When do I need to RSVP by?
Please respond by September 1st, 2025 so we can finalize all the details with our vendors.

Wedding Day Essentials

What time does the ceremony start and end?
The ceremony begins at 3:30 PM and will wrap up around 4:00 PM, followed immediately by cocktail hour. Guests are welcome to begin arriving at RiverBend after 3:00 PM.

When does the reception end?
The party wraps up at 10:00 PM sharp. We may have shuttles departing earlier depending on guest needs, so let us know your preferences on the RSVP!

What happens if it rains?
We're keeping our fingers crossed for beautiful fall weather! If Mother Nature has other plans, we'll move the ceremony inside the RiverBend barn. Either way, we'll be celebrating!

What type of ceremony will this be?
Since we're having an outdoor celebration in beautiful Colorado, this will be a non-religious, personalized ceremony focused on our love and commitment to each other.

Will there be music and dancing?
Absolutely! We'll have a DJ and plenty of space for dancing. Get ready to celebrate!

Is this kid-friendly?
Absolutely! We're setting up a childcare area with games and activities, plus professional supervision. Kids must be supervised at all times, especially near the river area.

What to Wear & Pack

What should I wear?
Colorado Chic! Think party attire! This is your chance to wear that dress you've been saving for a special occasion, or embrace some earthy fall tones. Our wedding party will be in suits (not tuxes) to give you a sense of the vibe. But it’s Colorado, most anything goes.

What about shoes?
The venue is level but on grass, so we don't recommend stilettos. Think cute but comfortable!

What's the weather like in late October?
Expect highs around 63°F and lows around 35°F. Lyons can be breezy, so bring layers! Check out our Travel page for a complete packing guide.

Getting There

How do I get to the venue?
If driving from Denver or Boulder, you'll pass through downtown Lyons (which has a one-way street). After crossing the river as you leave downtown, there's an immediate left turn into the venue. GPS works great from any direction!

Where do I park?
There's a parking lot on premise, with handicap spaces, as you pass the WeeCasa lodge, right before our venue - you can't miss it!

Do you provide transportation?
We're arranging shuttle service based on guest demand. Please indicate on your RSVP if you need transportation, and we'll coordinate pickup times from the host hotels.

Need accommodations?
Check out our Accommodations page for hotel blocks, unique stays, and booking details.

Food

What kind of food will there be?
We're doing station-style dining with a variety of dietary options covered. Please indicate any allergies or food restrictions on your RSVP so we can prepare accordingly.

Is there an open bar?
Yes! The wedding will have an open bar with many surprises.

Important Details

Who do I contact with day-of questions?
Family members of the bride and groom will be available to help. Contact us if you need their information.

Is the venue accessible?
Yes! The venue is handicap accessible.

Can I change my RSVP?
Email jackdesigns@gmail.com if you need to make changes.

Any venue rules I should know?
We'll have quiet hours when celebrations move indoors. Kids need supervision, especially near the river.

What if I lose something?
Message Jackie after the wedding for lost items. If it's urgent and important, don't lose it in the first place!

Think of a question we missed?
Email jackdesigns@gmail.com - if it's a good one, we might add it here for other guests!
